Meet the Team
Di Gilpin
Di has been in the knitting industry for over 40 years, based firstly in Skye and now at Comielaw Farm on the Balcaskie Estate in Fife. She has collaborated with couture brands, the Prince’s Foundation with King Charles and numerous community projects with Dumfries House.
Di is a popular speaker and workshop facilitator, wh believes strongly in sharing craft expertise.
With Sheila, Di is the head judge for the forthcoming Hello Halo TV show The Game of Wool for Channel 4.
Sheila Greenwell
Sheila is Di’s Production Manager and right hand woman. She has been working with Di for many years, on projects including the Knitting the Herring Project and they have co-written The Gansey Knitting Sourcebook together.
Sheila is an experienced speaker and workshop facilitator - you may have met her friendly smile at shows.

Susan Anderson
Susan is the Editor and creative force behind The Journal of Scottish Yarns - a luxury magazine which brings together articles and designs to celebrate community, culture, history, creativity and heritage in Scottish design.
She is also one of the co-founders of The Woolly Good Gathering in Edinburgh.
Alison Mayne
Alison is a textiles researcher, writer and as designer Knitrospective focuses on story-based knit and crochet patterns. She is inspired by the Scottish language, landscapes and the architecture of libraries.
She is also one of the co-founders of The Woolly Good Gathering in Edinburgh.
Kirsty MacLeod
Kirsty is a local lass with a love of the hills and the ocean. She works for Di Gilpin Ltd in managing both administration and creative customer focus.
Ali Taylor
Originally from the USA and now settled in Scotland, Ali works for Di Gilpin Ltd. She brings her expertise in events management and large scale performances to East Neuk Knits.
