We’d like to thank you for your donations over the festival. Many of you increased the donations made during ticket sales.
Funds this year are shared with the local St Monan’s Memorial Garden Group connected with the Heritage Collection - we’re able to give them over £400.
The same amount from ticket donation is added to our support for CHAS, to which we can add all sales for the children’s workshops and a wonderful total from the very generous attendees of the Saturday Night Knit at Pittenweem New Town Hall. Altogether, we can donate over £1000 to CHAS. The team and wider Di Gilpin Ltd family can’t thank you enough for this.
Finally, we’re doing it all again, same time next year.
We’d be delighted if you can join us.
Susan, Di and Alison

Thank you for coming
to East Neuk Knits 2025
It was a wonderful weekend and we are still enjoying the buzz of seeing everyone sharing their delight about the event online and through email.
There was something very special about the event we are still trying to define - it’s a feeling created by involving farmers and their animals, involving lots of community organisations, working hard to make sure stall holders feel well looked after - but there was a bit of magic in there as well. Perhaps it was sunny Fife air and lots of happiness.
Much fun was had admiring woolly layers, which people had a chance to show off for this winter event. Di and Sheila involved The Game of Wool guests Ailsa and Gordon in helping them award tweed and ribbon brooches made by Alison of Knitrospective: Fabulous textured sweaters, brightly coloured hats, youngest knitwear model (just weeks old), impressive colour work, gorgeous stalls and even best dressed goats enjoyed these prizes
The children’s knitting classes were a real hit at Kellie Castle - there were some very happy kids who enjoyed learning or developing their skills. If you want more information about Knitting for All classes in your area, you can find it here.
Next year we hope to offer even more, including spinning and felting. Bringing more young people to making with their hands is hugely important to the organisers and especially to Di - we’d love to work with local schools for this, so if you can help, get in touch!
Thank you for your amazing response to our Christmas cards, designed by Mandy Tait, aka Natty Maid. Many will know of her work as she designs the beautiful sheep breed cards which come with each issue of Susan’s magazine, The Journal of Scottish Yarns.
The cards are now available for purchase through the Journal of Scottish Yarns online shop if you were unable to come at the weekend, or want some more!
